iPhone Games – pool games and more

I’ve been chatting to a developer of virtual reality games on the iPhone and am pretty impressed with what they can now offer.

The idea of virtual reality in the iPhone is mainly covered by rpg games or virtual malls for shopping at the moment but hopefully that will change in time.

I played a very good iPhone skateboard game a couple of days ago. The ability to move around and play skateboard tricks of all types was impressive.

You could even get the board to go faster by learning it forward.

iPhone games are getting more and more complex with better systems for controlling the game just like this skateboard one.

Playing airplane games on the iPhone is a whole lot of fun. The latest airplane game I’ve been having some fun playing is one that you move the phone itself around instead of moving buttons on the screen. You can fly all over the place and see the land, sky and sea.

Even kids can enjoy these airplane games as they are really easy to use. I’ve seen a two year old playing the game and loving it.

There may be some flight simulator games in the iPhone but I haven’t played any of them yet. The most fun can be had with simple airplane games.

If you haven’t tried the paper toss iPhone game you should give it a go, it’s a lot of fun.

In the paper toss game you’re sitting in an office and are throwing paper into a bin that’s placed at different lengths away from you. You have to flick your finger to toss the paper.

The tricky part is that there is a fan blowing wind in different directions which you have to compensate for in how far to the side and how hard you try and toss the paper.

Overall the iPhone paper toss game is a good laugh for a short amount of time ( e.g like when you’re waiting for a train ) but it’s not going to hold your attention for a long time.

I played the wild west iPhone pinball game recently and was quite suprised at how good the game was.

I do think the developers of wild west could make it a little more obvious that it’s actually a pinball game though.

At first I thought I had downloaded a shooting game on the iPhone but then when I went into it I was surprised to see that it was actually a game of pinball themed on wild west.

I did enjoy playing the game and found the controls quite easy to use. It was a little hard to aim the ball but then that’s the same with almost all digital versions of pinball games.

If you’re really into pinball and love all of the flashing lights and fun sounds that come with the game then you’re sure to like the wild west pinball game as well.

I have just been testing out the new virtual pool lite ipone game. It’s a free download from the iPhone apps store and while it takes a while to get used to it’s been a lot of fun.

The hardest thing was figuring out how to shoot or as they call it to flick the pool cue once the shot is lined up. You need to hold your finger on the cue stick for a couple of seconds before the game recognizes that you want to make a shot rather than just wanting to move the cue around further.

Generally the game play is excellent and the career mode works well.

I especially like the ease if moving the cue stick around as well as all if the different options that are available to view the pool table from e.g. top, step back, zoom anne others.

I would recommend you give the iPhone virtual pool lite game a go for youself and see why it’s a great game.

Had a play of the motocross game on the iPhone today. What an amazing game. The reality and detail considering the screen size is amazing and they even manage to get some background crowd noises as well as the sounds of the motorbike.

I was playing the lite version of the motocross iPhone game and we impressed enough that I would actually think about getting the full version.

I’m still not 100% happy with the way racing games require the movement on the iPhone game itself to be quite dramatic. You end up tilting the game all the way to the side which can make it hard to see what’s going on. Perhaps it will improve over time as the accelerometer gets more sensitive to peoples movements and the game play will become a little easier.

Until then the motocross iPhone game is still a lot of fun for times when you’re stuck in a airport or on the tube!

Played the termintor salvation game on the iPhone for the first time today. It’s an amazing game. IPhone games have progressed massively in a couple of years.

The termintor iPhone game is a brilliant first person shooter game on a platform as small as the iPhone.

Have tried playing the defence force games a few time now on the iPhone and think they are a brilliant example of a simply devised yet reasonably complex game that can be played on the iPhone. I’ve only played the flight one so far but will soon download the tank defence force game for iphone as well so that I have played different versions of the game.

Downloaded and installed the iphone version of pacman today and had a good time playing it. The controls were easier to use than I expected and I managed to get close to the end of the first level.

Pacman on the iPhone is a available as a free iPhone application download for the pacman lite version and a paid version for the full game.

The free pacman lite version seemed to work fine and be a fun game to play so I can’t imagine paying to play the game as a full version!
